my review

Mythic City
It is mainly a written account of what the author, Gyan Prakash, thinks about his city, Bombay(now Mumbai). He mainly throws light to glorify the city of how great it is, in spite of such a vast differences in its culture, tradition, people, etc. He speaks also about the dark side of the city.
He also focuses on the remarkable Bollywood based in Mumbai, of how hindi films are now a part of the lives of the people staying there. To bring this connection more confidently, he also quotes a line from a hindi song, "Zara hatke, zara bachke, ye hai bambai meri jaan."
In a way, Shivajinagar also can deserve a similar type of description with such dense population.
