we are working on the food aspect and we were thinking of
various ways we could do our walks in shivajinagar. We are still not sure of
the mediums we ll be using. But we ll be definitely using some of the human
sensations like touch, vision, smell and obviously taste. For now we are using
photographs and videos to capture the essence of the place. Also we have tried
several dishes of different joints just to know the place better. We myt be
working on the topic of food history in shivajinagar. On how different people
feel connected or detached because of the food. What different people want
others to eat and why?
We started of by eating at many random joints and then
developing a relationship with them. We then asked them if we cud see how a
specific food is prepared and then we asked them if they cud allow us to bring
people to watch the process. We now know the best dish of many restaurants, the
timings, the time food is prepared and many more such details about many food
joints. Now after the cubbon park meeting we might work on some more serious
topics like the history and culture of food.
